Inauguration 2009

Today is the day we see a new president take office. This is an awesome event that takes place, well now 44 times in the span of America's existance. I think we need to remain cautious on where America is heading, with economy, war and many other things that face us in the future. I don't know where we are heading or what the road will be like - but my spirit says "stay close to Yahweh" "seek Him in everything" and "put your hope in Him". I don't see things getting better anytime soon, but with Yahweh, I have nothing to worry about.

Economy Blues

So I was going down my merry little path of life. Not too concerned about the economy as long as life stayed pretty much stable. If bills were going they way they are life would be ok, I even had planned for increases. But I was not ready for my monthly electric bill. Living on the east coast during the winter months can be a killer on the electric heat. Not sure what's going to happen, but we will see.

Don't get me wrong....

So ... don't get me wrong. I love my job, I do really. I have lots of perks - the people I work with love me - I was spoiled this Christmas! I love them to - they are great. But is this what I am really supposed to be doing? It's a safe job and the income isn't all that great but I can't really complain. ...Well I could, but it doesn't really matter. I sit here by the window and wish I could be outside an office. But what I desire to do isn't so safe. Not that it's dangerous but the income wouldn't be steady and there is so much I still need to learn. Let's see where I am next year.

What? no camera?!?!?!

So yesterday we had a big ice storm and I went to work without a camera. What was I thinking?!? I had opportunities to photograph some sweet images and I didn't. Why? Because I was absent-minded and left in a hurry without my gear. Man!

Oh well, the way we are going this winter I won't have to wait long for another one. Here's hoping. =)

New England in it's true form

Over the past few years our winters have been fair. I remember as a child the storms we would get that would closed down the entire state. Snow well over my head and the joy of playing in a winter wonderland. We have not had a winter like those for years until this year. Snow makes everything pure, it seems to cover the world in a blanket and make things new again.
