Piano Recital

The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul. ~ Johann Sebastian Bach

My mother has been teaching piano for years now and she puts on a recital the end of the spring with all her students. This year she had eight with one going off to college. Ages very from the very young to the very young at heart. The melody's were beautiful and fun including "Rubber Duckie"

Eagle Scout Court of Honor

The presentation of the Eagle Scout Award is an important and serious matter. For the Eagle candidate, this is the climax of his Scouting efforts. The attainment of this award is made possible through the assistance of those with the candidate. His Scoutmasters, Troop leaders, fellow Scouts, parents , family, friends and members of the community. This is an occasion for pride and joy, as well as a time for serious reflection.
The Eagle is the highest recognition offered in Scouting earned through advancement.

Fun with Josh

I can't believe in less than 2 weeks Joshua will have graduated high school. I am proud of him and the young man he has become. I am nervous about the future ... college, employment and family... but I know he has such potential and will excell. I want nothing but the best for him.

Thunderstorms

Going for a walk with Bridget

I left my house right after work Wednesday and it was sunny and beautiful. I decided I wanted to go for a walk downtown Mystic and enjoy the weather - I just love spring. I called Bridget and we took off from her house - still sunny. We drove into Mystic and fog came rolling in. Okay more like someone just dumped the fog in - it went from sunny to foggy instantly. It did make for beautiful pictures.

Bonfire and marshmellows

I love this time of year when you can get together with friends and chill by the fire roasting marshmellows. Jacob just bought his home recently, even though we were unable to view the inside, the exterior was beautiful.
