July 30 - Sock Hop

I had a blast! I think I needed a night out with people who were closer to my age than those that I have been hanging out with. Who knew we could have such a great time!

July 23 - Paula & Michelle go to the beach...

... and oh it was such a beautiful day! Begining of the summer tan (which sadly will disappear by winter)

July 16 - Lighthouse tour with the girls

A beautiful God given day - traveling up the eastern coast from Connecticut to Maine - Liz, Amy, Destiny and I had an amazing time just  hanging out and capturing Yahweh's beauty along New Englands Coast.

July 9 - Congratulations to Jacob & Ashley

Such a  beautiful couple - full of joy and life. Thank you Jacob & Ashley for allowing  me to play such a part in such a joyous day! I pray that the joy you have now will remain for many years to come. And never give up on having fun, flirting and being each other's best friend!
This day I will marry my best friend,
the one I laugh with,
live for,
dream with,
love

June 18 - Sunshine Kids Benefit

I was allowed the honor to photograph at a benefit for the Sunshine Kids Foundation with my amazing friend Tiffany Lively. I see what these children are suffering and yet they are so full of life. We need to take lessons from them on how to enjoy life to it's fullest.

The Sunshine Kids Foundation provides exciting, positive group activities for children with cancer so that they can do what children should do – have fun and celebrate life. Thousands of children from hospitals across the country benefit from the foundation’s programs and events

Girls in the city - New London that is...

We planned months in advance to go to NYC - a bunch of us. But due to schedules and finances we were unable to go. So the few of us that were left thought we'd go to Boston ... but once again finances and lack of transportation reared it's ugly head. So we made a day of it in our own city New London. Jocelyn had a wonderful idea... we were going to photograph her in one of her elements; paint! What do you think? Does this portrait Jocelyn? I had a great time with this shoot!

June 10th - Stormy night

Thursday night we were getting ready for Ignite Youth Ministries and someone came running in to find out if I had my camera. The sky outside was sinister and beckoned to be photographed. It was errie and breathtaking all at once.

Block Island - June 2011

John came to visit us and took Paula and I to hang out on Block Island. It was an adventure I will never forget. We were able to take the highspeed ferry over and enjoy a beautiful summer day. When we arrived I was talked into taking a trip around the island on mopeds; at first I was skeptical. Paula told me that I needed to live a little... well that did it. John blessed us by rental all three mopeds! We spent the next 3-4 hours riding around the island, it was beautiful. I will have to make it a point to go back sometime soon.

Bat Mitzvah - May 2011

My dear friend and amazing photographer, Tiffany Lively asked if I would assist her on photographing a Bat Mitzvah. There was such deep tradition in the ceremony and I was amazed at the knowledge of the children. She was 13 and spoke as if she was 30. Speaking in the Jewish language and reciting from the Torrah; it was beautiful.

Roger Williams Zoo May 2011

Josh and I decided that we were going to take a vacation day and go to the Roger Williams Zoo in Rhode Island. I love to go to the zoo; the animals are such an awesome site and to know that God created each and everyone of them shows how creative He is.

Yet another Wednesday that rains. I do like these foggy, rainy photos but some Wednesday I would love a sunset.

Roger Williams Zoo

Josh and I wanted to take this Red Panda home from the zoo. However, I don't think our kitties would appreciate it.

Ashley's Wedding Shower (176)

This Saturday was Ashley's Bridal Shower at a place called Perks & Corks. It was a quaint coffee shop/bar. The atmosphere was that of excitement and joy. Congratulations Ashley! I can't wait for the wedding.

Rainy New England weather 003

While waiting for the kids to finish at Drama practice, I drove around Groton in search of an eerie photograph... think I got it.

Morning run ... to Rhode Island

At first when I realized that I had to take my son in to college almost everyday I wasn't too happy. "What do you mean we have to leave at 6:30am!?" But the bright side to this ... I get to spend time with Yahweh on the way home and see things I would never had seen if I remained in bed. Amazing!

This past weekend I was able to photograph the Chieco's beautiful baby girl! It was Asher's 2nd birthday, but he didn't want his photo taken. Happy Birthday Asher!

Looking desolate but beautiful! Spring is just around the corner

Afternoon Hikes 4-3-11 Copp Family Park Groton, CT

Continuing on with our weekend hikes. This past weekend we traveled to Copp Family Park - where there is Central Bark, a dog park. Beautiful hiking trails - a must see.

I have had the pleasure of a 2 hour commute to work Mon- Fri... well because I have to drive Joshua to school in Rhode Island it takes me about 2 hours round trip. Benefits though, yesterday morning the fog was intense. Made for a great capture!

Spring Snowfall

With 75 degrees not more than a week ago, we woke up this morning to this. Can you believe it? Well, when you live in New England snow is possible anytime. Hopeful sign through it all; Robins were bouncing around! Spring is on it's way!

Afternoon Hikes

A group of my friends decided that monthly we were going to take on a new park to hike. It's not only a great way to exercise; but we have a wonderful time hanging out together and of course, catching what we see on film(well digital).

This month we chose to explore Bluff Point, Groton, CT

Bella & Kris were walking down a path when Jacob pointed out he saw a chipmunk. This time of year everything is basically the color of brown, so to see this little fella you really had to focus. I didn't think he would stay still long enough for me to focus and capture this image. But it looks like we have a winner! Isn't he adorable?

My small Canon Powershot SX30 IS has loads of fun functions. As you see here above, the fish-eye function causes the fish-eye effect. Very fun to play with.

While everyone was climbing this gigantic boulder I stood from below and was able to capture this shot. The boulder had split in half and a tree limb was wedged between it. When your in nature, take a moment to look at the beauty around you in different angles. Crazy what you may see.

The Boys: had to run to the top and back down. Kris wanted to know if Jacob was the winner. They weren't racing, so they say.

Can't wait till we choose the next location for Aprils Hike! Keep your eyes open!

The Whitney's

Rob stopped me in church and asked if he could get his children's school portraits done - of course I said yes! Nick is graduating this year I can't believe it! Where does the time go?
Of course you know this is one of my favorite photographs - shows the true side =)
Nick is an amazing musician. Mostly known for his excellent drumming abilities, yet barely known for the talent guitarist!

Meaghan - Beautiful!

Thank you for allowing me to photograph you and your family Rob.
