May 2009

I went to my first gathering for letterboxing! Hebron CT

Yes... I have not fallen off the face of the earth!!

I apologize for not blogging in forever! Almost 5 months - what was I thinking? I am going to post some pictures from the past few months of what I have been up to... things like, participating in a recording studio for Torn Veil (photography of course), attending an event called Rock the Sound NYC where I was able to photograph 18 bands in 2 days!! Amazing! And then the everyday things. My Joshua was able to go Panama on a mission trip and he just started his senior year of high school - where does the time go? And I haven't aged a bit ;0) lol
So enjoy the photo journal of the past few months of my life

Washington DC

For a wonderful 4 days I was able to travel to DC and take in a bunch of sites (not all however, there are too many!) - It was a great vacation, the weather was beautiful and the company was priceless. Here are a few photographs to show the views of DC but for more visit http://albums.phanfare.com/destinystudios. I can't wait to go back!

Where have you been?

So I have been away for awhile. not really but I haven't blogged in what seems like forever. Life has not slowed down since ...well it just hasn't. I have had the opportunity to photograph an awesome band by the name of tbc. They were in town for a week and I was able to follow them around ending the week with their concert. I was able to photograph Scarlet Fade also. They are an awesome rock band! You should check them out! http://www.scarletfade.com/Home.html

Frustration.......

Working with a good camera, but not the one I want. I assisted with my first wedding photography. The shots were great, but the quality was very poor. Low lighting situation didn't help me any. I did capture a few - but over all I was really disappointed. More reason to save up for the better equipment needed. Hopefully within a matter of a year I can do it!

Inauguration 2009

Today is the day we see a new president take office. This is an awesome event that takes place, well now 44 times in the span of America's existance. I think we need to remain cautious on where America is heading, with economy, war and many other things that face us in the future. I don't know where we are heading or what the road will be like - but my spirit says "stay close to Yahweh" "seek Him in everything" and "put your hope in Him". I don't see things getting better anytime soon, but with Yahweh, I have nothing to worry about.
